Carl Reh Sweet Red from Germany ($11.99)<\/strong> – \u00a0Carl Reh Dornfelder Sweet Red Wine has aromas of cherry and blackberry and just a hint of spice. Dornfelder is Germany\u2019s native red wine grape and gives the wine a wonderfully deep red color.<\/p>\n

Vini Pinot Noir from Bulgaria ($10.99) – <\/strong>Yes, I did say Bulgaria!\u00a0 This is a new Pinot Noir that I just got in the shop.\u00a0 I have not had a chance to taste it yet, but my distributor said it is a great everyday pinot.\u00a0 Let’s taste it tonight and see if he is right!\u00a0 It’s a great price and I hope it is as good as he said.<\/p>\n

Renwood Premier Old Vine Zinfandel from California ($19.99) – <\/strong>This wine has a nose of exotic spices and dried fruits. This classis old vine character also exhibits notes of lavender. On the palate full in body and very ripe the dark fruit on the first taste melds into mildly spicy fruit with a hint of roasted coffee towards the end. Overall this dusty and bold wine offers ample flavor.<\/p>\n

The Clincher! Chakana Estate Selection Malbec from Argentina ($29.99) – <\/strong>Check out the size of this bottle!\u00a0 Very fitting to help celebrate the Cards clinching victory tonight!\u00a0 “The 2010 Estate Selection seems even better, perhaps because it\u2019s had an extra year of bottle age. The silky tannins, sweet red and black fruits, and the big, perfumed nose of black fruits, flowers and white chocolate are followed by a full-bodied, remarkably concentrated wine that is a steal at this price point. Both of these should drink well for 5-6 years.”<\/p>\n

“An incredible discovery for me, this winery was founded a decade ago and named after the Southern Cross (\u201cChakana\u201d is the local Indian dialect for that constellation). It is located approximately 20 miles south of Mendoza in Agrelo.
