Tonight is the start of a big music weekend at Chateau La Vin!\u00a0 We start out tonight with some great live jazz and three wines to taste!\u00a0 We have live music on the Wine Garden Friday and Saturday thanks to Joe Boccardi’s!<\/p>\n

Today’s Tasting!<\/strong><\/p>\n

We have a new Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay to taste today!\u00a0 We will also taste a nice Cabernet Sauvignon for all the red wine drinkers!<\/p>\n

Stoneleigh Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand ($18.99)<\/strong> – \u00a0The wine is light straw in color with subtle green highlights. This wine displays lifted passion fruit and white-fleshed nectarine aromatics, with grapefruit and subtle sweaty notes. The palate shows balance, with ripe passion fruit flavors and complex minerality balanced by a tight, fresh acidity. This is a vibrant and lively wine.<\/p>\n

Santa Barbara Winery Chardonnay from California ($18.99)<\/strong> – \u00a0In the glass the chardonnay displayed a light golden tint which indicated some oak barrel fermentation.\u00a0 Bright fruit notes of apricot, peach, green apple, and nuances of pineapple and vanilla emerged from the glass providing an aromatic and perfumed experience.\u00a0 On the palate, the wine was a dry, moderately flavored wine with a ripe fruit profile and lingering warmth.\u00a0 The ripe flavors of tropical fruit such as apricot and pineapple and the warmth caused by the alcohol level were characteristic expected from a wine native of Santa Barbara County which is a wine growing area with abundant sunshine and warm weather conditions.<\/p>\n

Mohawk Cabernet from Australia ($19.99)<\/strong> – \u00a0“Deep ruby. Laid-back aromas of dried cherry, rose and pipe tobacco. Sappy, penetrating red fruit flavors put on weight and gain sweetness with air. Closes with very good length and spiciness, plus a note of floral pastille.” 90 Points International Wine Cellar.<\/p>\n

Live Jazz tonight!<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Thursday night jazz tradition continues at Chateau La Vin!\u00a0 The music starts about 7:30!<\/p>\n

Live Music Friday and Saturday night!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Joe Boccardi’s \u00a0restaurant is going to have live music on their patio Friday and Saturday night starting about 6:00!\u00a0 They wanted me to let all of you know that we will be able to enjoy the music with them from the Wine Garden!\u00a0 Stop in, open some wine and order some pizza or pasta to go from Joe Boccardi’s!\u00a0 It will be a great weekend!<\/p>\n

As always, we will be tasting some great wines inside!<\/p>\n
