Southern Starz Wine Importers!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Don Clemens from Southern Starz will be in the shop with 8 great wines for you to taste!\u00a0 The wines we will be tasting are:\u00a0 Nugan Estate Chardonnay from Australia, Water Wheel Memsie Shiraz, Malbec & Cabernet Sauvignon blend from Australia, Reillys Barking Mad Shiraz from Australia, Antucura Cabernet Sauvignon from Argentina Robert Parker 90 pts, Vina Alicia Cabernet Sauvignon from Argentina, Sherwood Estate Pinot Noir from New Zealand, Altamira Reserve Malbec from Argentina Robert Parker 92 pts., and R.L. Buller & Son Premium Fine Tokay from Australia!<\/p>\n

Southern Starz specializes in representing wineries from south of the Equator. The very experienced management team has selected some of the finest producers from South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and Argentina.<\/p>\n

Don Clemens is currently the Midwest Regional Manager for Southern Starz. Don’s career in the wine business has included retail and restaurant management, wholesale distribution, regional sales and even winery sales management. His love of wine has led him through many challenging and rewarding opportunities, including a stint as sommelier at one of Chicago’s leading restaurants (where his wine list won a Wine Spectator “Grand Award”). Don is a Certified Wine Educator and Certified Specialist in Wine and in Spirits with the Society of Wine Educators, he is frequently called upon to talk about his favorite subject, WINE.<\/p>\n

Hood River Distillers!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yes I did say spirits!\u00a0 New to Chateau La Vin! \u00a0Kurt Boustead from Hood River Distillers will be tasting Pendleton Whisky, Broker’s London Dry Gin, Yazi Ginger Flavored Vodka, ULLR Nordic Libation and Knickers Irish Cream!\u00a0 I am really looking forward to learning more about these products and spirits in general!<\/p>\n

This will be a huge event with both wine and spirits!\u00a0 You will not want to miss it!\u00a0 We start tasting at 5:00 pm.<\/p>\n

Easter Weekend Hours.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chateau La Vin will be open our normal hours on Friday and Saturday.\u00a0 If you have friends and family in town for the holidays, bring them in for a glass of wine!\u00a0 We will be closed on Easter Sunday.<\/p>\n
