It’s Friday and the Wine Garden is open!

Today we are tasting B Side Cabernet Sauvignon, Claude Val Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault Rose & Besitos Moscato!

Friday is here and we have a little cooler temperatures!  The Wine Garden is Open and it should be very comfortable to sit outside and enjoy some wine or beer!  We have a red, rose & white to taste today!

B Side Cabernet Sauvignon from California ($24 .99) – The 2010 B Side Cabernet Sauvignon lures you in with aromas of black cherry, dried black currants, roasted mushroom and a hint of mahogany. Its deep, inky garnet appearance is a striking preface to its full-bodied flavor. From the first sip you are greeted with flavors of cherry cobbler and chocolate covered blueberries that transition through the mid-palate with dark chocolate truffle, espresso and hints of dried tea leaf.  Blend: 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Malbec, and 8% Petit Verdot.  B Side Cabernet Sauvignon tells the story of the flip-side of Napa Valley. Nestled in rural areas and rolling hills along the eastern edge of the Valley, these vineyards are just a few miles from the glamorous, high-priced wineries featured along Highway 29. The eastern side of Napa Valley includes areas such as Pope Valley, Chiles Valley, Wooden Valley, Stags Leap District and lower Calistoga. Vines in these areas are grown in thin volcanic soils, which yield smaller, more concentrated fruit, producing Bordeaux-style Cabernet Sauvignons with classic berry and cassis flavors.

Claude Val Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault Rose from France ($17.99) – 40 percent grenache, 30 percent cinsault, 30 percent syrah.  The three grapes contribute to this wine from the Languedoc-Roussillon region of southern France, Claude Val Rosé.  It has flavors of a red wine without being heavy and oppressive.  The dry wine features notes of strawberries and fresh herbs.

Besitos Moscato from Spain ($10.99) – Our delicate Moscato from the Valencia region of Spain is lightly effervescent, light in alcohol (11%), lightly sweet, and has aromas of rose petal and peach. It’s a fantastic aperitif and a beautiful way to begin any celebration, which brings me to another point. You can drink Besitos Moscato in whatever sort of glass suits your fancy, but personally, I like to drink it out of a champagne flute. The little bubbles can really do their thing, and its a good reminder to celebrate one’s blessings everyday. Home is where the heart is. We are honored to be a part of your table.
