Three Italian Wines to Taste!
Stella Rosa Stella Berry ($14.99) – The newest addition to the Stella Rosa line – Stella Berry is a refreshing wine combined with natural flavors of strawberry, raspberry, and wild blackberries. Serve chilled with fresh fruit, cheese, spicy cuisine and desserts.
IL Griso Roero Arneis ($22.99) – From the Roero winegrowing region, the Arneis grape makes an impressive white wine. A full bouquet of almond, apricot, pineapple, pear blossoms and a long, dry finish make this wine a beauty. It is a handcrafted, very small production wine from Vinchio Vaglio Serra. The Arneis grape is known to be a bit difficult to grow, making the end product all the more respected. It is sometimes referred to as Barolo Bianco. This is a full white wine that will take a well paired meal to new heights. Pair with seafood stew and other delicate fish and poultry dishes.
Le Nocche” Grignolino D’asti ($19.99) – Mr. Veronelli, the most eminent Italian wine researcher, calls Grignolino “the anarchic wine” because it changes according to climatic trend. It is the sole wine, which even if it appears as a “rosè”, it has a good structure and a high tannic content that makes it agreeable and lasting. This wine has a light ruby-red colour with orange overtones, it has a light and floreal bouquet. The taste is dry, slightly tannic, bitterish and long-lasting.
