Saturday Tasting and Early Close on Sunday!

What a great day!  If anyone wants to sit outside in front of the shop, just ask me.  I will move a table and chairs outside for you.  Today we are tasting a Petite Sirah and an Organic Sauvignon Blanc!

La Storia Petite Sirah by Trentadue 40th Anniversary Collector’s Edition ($24.99) – This is another of the great wines I discovered on my trip to Chicago a few weeks ago.  Winemaker’s Notes: Trentadue Winery’s historical roots are firmly grounded in this classic varietal. Leo Trentadue has been growingv and producing Petite Sirah on his Estate since 1969 and this commitment and love for this grape has been culminated in the release of La Storia Petite Sirah. Produced from grapes grown only on the Trentadue Alexander Valley Estate, this wine will impress with a black, inky color and a firm, rich and chewy mouth feel. The aromas often indicate cherry, blackberry and chocolate as well as an intriguing hint of cigar box. La Storia Petite Sirah exhibits a very big and firm structure that will allow for this wine to age gracefully for years to come. A true Sonoma County standout.

Patianna Estate Vineyards Organic Sauvignon Blanc ($19.99) – This Sauvignon Blanc is produced entirely from grapes grown in Patianna Estate Vineyard’s gravely, sandy loam soil along the Russian River in Hopland. This Estate Vineyard offers consistent, vibrant flavors of pear and grapefruit, along with ripe aromas of white peach, honeydew melon and citrus. It follows with a clean, fresh finish.  Wine Enthusiast said “It delivers everything you love about the variety, inviting one in with melon and minerality, then following through with a surprising creaminess and almost decadent, mousse-like finish.”

Two great wines to taste today! Stop in!

Sunday Chateau La Vin will close at 3:00 pm!

Just another reminder that on Sunday we will be closing at 3:00 pm so I can help out with an offsite tasting.  Sorry for the inconvenience!
