We are having a special tasting at Chateau La Vin beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday! We have four wines from Charles Krug Winery, Napa Valley’s First Winery! In addition, all day Thursday you can get 10% off when you purchase 3 – 5 bottles of these wines or 15% off when you buy 6 or more! You can mix and match the four wines, while supplies last. Charles Krug Estate Bottled Sauvignon Blanc – A classic Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc, buzzing in margarita-ready lime, grapefruit pith and sweet jasmine, with a nuance of grassy underbrush. Creamy in vanilla-bean flavor on the midpalate, it finishes dry and crisp. 90 Points Wine Enthusiast.
Charles Krug Pinot Noir – This elegant and fruitful Pinot Noir has a beautiful dark cherry color with aromas of blackberry, black cherry and boysenberry. With the first sip, this graceful and balanced wine combines subtle pomegranate, brown sugar and blackberry infused tea flavors for a smooth and juicy finish that is a true palate pleaser.
Charles Krug Merlot – Ripe cherry and berry aromas are in full bloom in this wine we like to refer to as our Cab Lover’s Merlot. With mocha, red currant and vanilla notes, this medium bodied, well balanced wine with silky, smooth tannins ends in a long, lingering finish. 84% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Petite Sirah, 3% Malbec, 1% Petit Verdot.
Charles Krug Cabernet Sauvignon – Our vineyards in Yountville produce Cabernet Sauvignon of exceptional intensity and complexity. This polished wine opens with aromas of black cherry, currant and a hint of tobacco. On the palate, cocoa and cassis blend with supple tannins that lead to a graceful, elegant finish. 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot.
Live Jazz Thursday Night!
The fun continues after the Charles Krug tasting with great Jazz starting at 7:30! It should be a great night of Jazz! Ron and Keith will be here and Steve & Matt will most likely be joining them! They always sound great, but when all four of them can get together it is fantastic! I hope you can make it in!
Casey Reeves Friday Night!
Casey is back Friday night! He has been a big hit every time he plays here! He plays a folk rock style doing classic stuff like Johnny Cash, The Beatles, The Stones, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Simon and Garfunkel, Creedence, Van Morrison, Cat Stevens, etc. He also does 90′s material like Oasis, Foo Fighters, Weezer, The Violent Fems, and contemporary stuff like Old Crow, Mumford and Sons, etc. Music starts at 7:30!
Songs 4 Soldiers on Saturday!
Saturday from 4:00 to 11:00 Chateau La Vin will have a booth set up at the second annual Songs 4 Soldiers Concert! It is again being held at the Schnuck’s parking lot in Columbia IL. Come on out and support a great cause! They are featuring performances by Pettycash Junction, Supermajik Robots, Where’s Charlie? & Superjam! The cost is only $10 and all proceeds go to helping local Veterans! If you really want to enjoy the night, reserve a room at the Hampton Inn. It is only about a block from the concert. Mention you are there for the Songs 4 Soldiers Concert and they will give you a special discount!
