Card’s Playoff Game and Running Blind on Friday!
The TV is going in today! We will have the game on Friday! Come on in and enjoy a glass of wine and watch the game!
Running Blind!
Running Blind is making their first appearance at Chateau La Vin! I’m super excited to have Shawn & Doug in to play! They play a great variety of music including songs from Cheap Trick, Joe Walsh, The Who, Eagles, ZZ Top, Foo Fighters, John Cougar and many more! Let’s give them a big welcome! Because of the baseball game, they will be starting a little later. The plan is to start around 8:00.
Greg Silsby on Saturday!
Greg is coming back on Saturday. He was a big hit last time he played here! I’m looking forward to having him back! Here is a little about Greg: Greg Silsby is the former vocalist and guitarist for the St Louis based bluegrass band Cumberland Gap. He was voted as ‘Best Male Vocalist’ in St Louis by The Riverfront Times in 2011. ‘A great bluegrass band is defined by its singers, and in Greg Silsby, Cumberland Gap has an ace. A long tall drink of mountain water, Silsby has a tenor voice that cuts through the air like a sharpened wing. He’s not smooth, he doesn’t croon or wail, but his pitch is precise and his feel for original and traditional material — the blues especially — is convincing. He has a band of super-pickers to back him up, but that voice always leads the way. He can sing a tune by the Dead or the Beatles, Bill Monroe or Anonymous, and he can carry the melody past twangy clichés and straight to the heart of the song.’ He starts at 7:30!
Anniversary Party with Charlotte Street Sunday Afternoon!
I can’t believe it has been 4 years since we opened the doors at Chateau La Vin! Sunday afternoon is looking good so far to have a great celebration in the wine garden! Charlotte Street will be here from 3:00 to 6:00! Come on over and enjoy a great afternoon of music & wine! I’ll have a few wines open for tasting too!
