23 Apr Special Tasting for Live Jazz Celebration Thursday!
Ron & Keith’s Two Year Anniversary Playing at Chateau La Vin!
We are going to start tomorrow’s celebration with a very special tasting. We have six great wines for you to taste! To make it even more special, if you buy six or more of any of these wines you get 20% off the purchase price! This is for Thursday only and only while supplies last. At 7:30 Ron & Keith will start playing some of the great Jazz that we have heard over the last two years! Let’s fill up Chateau La Vin and let them know how much we appreciate their music! Check out the lineup for tomorrow!
Rancho Sisquoc Riesling ($21.99) – This fresh Riesling has a nose dominated by apricots & peaches with hints of citrus blossom and vanilla bean. The palate is rich and shows peach preserves with a mouth – feel of decadent sweetness and a custard – like texture. The delightful finish is crisp, citrus driven with a sweet vanilla spike. A great picnic wine and perfect for summer days! – Alec Franks.
Cono Sur Bicicleta Sauvignon Blanc ($15.99) – Elegant, expressive and dressed in a green-yellow shade of color, this Sauvignon Blanc impresses with its citrus notes of grapefruit and green apple, which mingle in with herbal hints. In mouth, its freshness and balance specially stand out, along with its citric notes and pleasant mineral ending.
Chapoutier Belleruche Rose ($18.99) – Belleruche Rose’s color is a light pink with salmon-pink highlights. This wine has aromas of red fruits, currant, raspberry and cherry. On the palate, the freshness is well-balanced and round. Mainly Grenache, then Cinsault and Syrah. The vineyards of “Belleruche” rosé are located on old fluvioglacial terraces, on the right bank of the Rhône.
SeaGlass Pinot Noir ($14.99) – This Pinot Noir captures the best of Santa Barbara’s unique terroir with a fresh, light-bodied profile that allows the grape’s varietal character to shine through. An inviting, delicate perfume emerges from the glass, while bright red cherry and strawberry flavors lightly dance upon the palate. Beautifully balanced with vibrant acidity, it’s the ideal complement for earthy mushrooms, grilled salmon or lamb.
Number Nine Tempranillo & Cabernet Franc ($25.99) – The Number Nine (9) is regarded in various cultures as the figure of supreme knowledge, the figure which induces the Totality of existence of the number 10. Number 9 is considered to be the number par excellence, because it represents the ternary triangle, the triple synthesis (body, intellect and soul). Cherry red with a very deep robe, with purple tones on the rim. Complex and tremendously subtle bouquet, combining very ripe black fruit, almost caramelized, with spices, coffee and the aroma of undergrowth. Full bodied, highly structured and long on the palate, with mature tannin and great persistence, with a complex nose appearing yet again in the aftertaste. 54% Tempranillo, 46% Cabernet Franc.
Reverse Six Tempranillo & Merlot ($24.99) – Aged for 16 months in new French oak barrels. Cherry red black with a violet rim and deep robe. Intense aroma dominated by fine wood (cocoa, toasted and smoked woods), perfectly combined with ripe black fruit. The typical liquorice of the predominant Tempranillo also appears, in addition to some syrupy notes. Full-bodied and fleshy on the palate with an unusual strength and structure that need to be mastered and which predict a great wine. 70% Tempranillo, 30% Merlot.
