Tonight’s Tasting!
Tonight we will be tasting three wines that have been consistent favorites at the shop! Tastings are from 6:00 – 8:00 tonight! I hope you can stop in and enjoy the wine!
New Age White from Argentina ($14.99) – It is a light yellow-green colored wine, with fruity and floral aromas of great intensity. Balanced acidity leads to soft, semi-sweet and slightly effervescent flavors and mouth feel. It is an extremely refreshing, vivacious and sensual wine. Winemaker Notes: The fruit is handpicked followed by crushing, cooling of crushed grapes, and pressing. Fermentation begins by inoculating with selected yeasts. Halfway through the fermentation process, the wine is centrifuged (spun) to halt fermentation, creating a slightly sweet, semi-sparkling wine. Serving Hints: Should be served well-chilled as an aperitif or dessert. Also tastes great with spicy Thai, Indian, Chinese or Japanese cuisine. Grape Variety: 90% Torrontes and 10% Sauvignon Blanc
The Unknown red blend from California ($17.99) – “As you begin your journey into ‘The Unknown’, delight in the aromas of ripe blackberries, plums, black licorice & spice. As you journey further, to that first sip, savor the lush, well rounded, full mouth filling flavors of plums, currants, figs and black raspberries. At last it all comes together. Find the completeness of your journey’s end with the haunting, lingering finishing characteristics of roasted coffee, black & red berries dipped in chocolate and blackberry pie. Now the challenging question: Do you know what varietals went into ‘The Unknown’?”
Decoy Napa County Cabernet Sauvignon from California ($26.99) – Reflecting the character of each growing season, the Decoy Napa Valley Cabernet is made to be opened and enjoyed upon release. It is rich and appealing with fragrant, lifted aromas of mulberry, raspberry and currant with hints of rhubarb and mocha. The soft-toned fruit flavors dominate the plush and inviting palate with engaging spice complexity. This supple and approachable wine has a lingering finish framed by structured tannins. Blend: 96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Merlot, 1% Petit Verdot
