09 Nov Wine Garden Weather & Wine Garden Wines!
What a great day! This is definitely some great wine garden weather! The Wine Garden is Open and we have a couple of favorite wines to taste today that go great sitting outside! If it gets a little cool tonight, the heater is ready! Stop in for a taste and enjoy this great weather! It won’t last long!
Today’s Tasting!
Claude Val Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault Rose from France ($17.99) – 40 percent grenache, 30 percent cinsault, 30 percent syrah. The three grapes contribute to this wine from the Languedoc-Roussillon region of southern France, Claude Val Rosé. It has flavors of a red wine without being heavy and oppressive. The dry wine features notes of strawberries and fresh herbs.
Match Book Tinto Rey from California ($19.99) – “Another big-time winner is the 2007 Tinto Rey, a 6,900 case blend of 44% Tempranillo, 36% Syrah, 13% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Graciano and Petite Sirah. Delicious and seductive, it boasts abundant notes of black currants, black cherries, licorice, forest floor and spice. Round, silky tannins, medium to full body and an excellent finish make for a heck of a proprietary blend the likes of which more California wineries should be producing.” The Wine Advocate Robert Parker 88 Pts.
