Outdoor Seating!
We now have two tables out in front of the shop! You can enjoy this great weather and a glass of wine! I’m still working on the wine garden out back and hope to have that open in the next few weeks too!
New Hours for Chateau La Vin!
In order to better serve you, our hours are changing. We will open a little later Tuesday – Thursday and stay open later Thursday – Saturday nights. The shop has been open later anyway so we will make it official. Now you can plan on stopping in before and/or after dinner! See our new hours below.
Today’s Tasting!
With all the news, I don’t want to forget to let you know what we are tasting today! We have a Red Blend and Pinot Grigio. Both from Italy!
Vitiano Italian Red Blend ($12.99) – 91 pts. International Wine Cellar! Ridiculously dark black-ruby color. Pretty aromas of cassis, black plum and earth, with a pronounced vanilla presence that does not overpower the fruit. Rich and densely packed, with distinctly ripe flavors of black fruits, raisin and chocolate lifted by an intriguing balsamic vinegar note. This finishes lighter than it starts, with welcome acidity nicely delineating the borderline-overripe fruit. Finishes creamy and long. This is a lot of wine for the money, and the best Vitiano in years, far removed from some astringent versions of recent memory.
Tiziano Pinot Grigio ($14.99) – The nose carries a blend of pear and citrus, the mouth is filled with ripe pear aromas, balanced by acidity. The fruit forward style makes this pinot grigio the perfect match for tomato dishes.
