10 Aug What a great Friday! Time to hit the Wine Garden!
This weather is long overdue! We have three new wines to taste tonight and all three can be enjoyed in the wine garden!
Today’s Tasting!
Cottonwood Creek White Table Wine from California ($14.99) – Made with Organic Grapes. Fresh fruit with hints of pear and peaches fill the air with this light color organic white wine. Rich fruit aromas abound on the palate as the wine finishes with a slightly sweet flavor that is perfect for any occasion.
Arido Malbec from Argentina ($14.99) – Intense ruby color. Delicate red fruit and violet aromas interact with classic Malbec spiciness. Soft and round in the mouth with balanced acidity and sweet tannins. All grapes are hand harvested from old vines, most planted around 1948. Vineyards sit 950m above sea level and good climatic conditions allow the winery to maintain vineyards almost naturally. During the vegetative season there is a difference of temperature between day and night of 15C allowing for excellent color and tannin development.
The Formula Robert’s Shiraz from Australia ($19.99) – This is a big, full flavored Shiraz produced from 40 year old vines, grown on the Adelaide Plains. Well balanced and textured, this wine shows savory and chocolate notes with soft tannins and a structured palate. Great wine with a great name!
Special French Wine Tasting!
Ted from Southern Wines & Spirits will be in the shop on Wednesday, August 15th from 6:00 to 8:00 to pour five Gerard Bertrand wines from France! It’s one of those special tasting you won’t want to miss. Stay tuned for more info on the wines we will be tasting!
Columbia Daze Parade!
What better place to watch the Columbia Daze Parade than at Chateau La Vin! I will have chairs set up out front as well as inside by the big window! Watch the parade and enjoy some of your favorite wine or specialty beer! The parade starts Saturday, August 18th at 5:00 so get here early for a good seat!
