19 May Welcome to the Unwine Wine Garden!
Yes, this is the day that we have been waiting for! Tonight after 6:00 pm, the Unwine Wine Garden (thanks for the name Angie!) will be open! We still have a lot of work to do out there, but the concrete will be dry and the tables and chairs are ready! Stop in, enjoy a nice summer wine and unwind in the Unwine Wine Garden! We have in more rose’s from our last tasting and they are perfect for this kind of weather!
We will be tasting a couple of outside wines today!
Jacuzzi Family Vineyards Barbera from California ($24.99) – This Barbera, a grape variety that originally hails from the hills of Northern Italy’s Piemonte region, comes from a vineyard west of Ukiah in Mendocino County. The vineyard is planted in rocky, well-drained soil. Warm days and cool evening breezes provide ideal growing weather that contributes to fruit concentration and acid. It is crisp and vibrant with lively raspberry and cherry character along with complex tobacco notes.
Amberhill Secret Blend from California ($12.99) – Nose: The floral notes of our 2010 White Wine lift lightly from the glass and intermingle aromatically with scents of orange blossom, jasmine and rose petal. Palate: This refreshing wine offers flavors of honeysuckle, pineapple and Fuji apple with slight hints of melon and guava. A balanced acidity contributes to a lush, round mouth-feel and leads to a lasting, vibrant finish. Stop in and see if you can guess the blend!
