Christmas Wines to Taste!
We have a great selection of wines to taste tonight! They will be a big hit at your Christmas Celebration!
Laguna Chardonnay from California ($23.99) – “This brilliant, 100% barrel fermented 2009 Chardonnay (10,000 cases produced) offers abundant tropical fruit notes (pineapples and mangos) intermixed with a hint of honeysuckle and subtle oak in a classic, full-throttle style. The touch of oak provides a spicy component and the acidity, depth and overall equilibrium suggest this beauty should drink nicely for 3-4 years. ” 91 Points The Wine Advocate.
Perrin & Fils Chateauneuf Du Pape Les Sinards from France ($39.99) – “Vivid ruby. Heady aromas of Asian spices, red berries and garrigue, along with a hint of white pepper. Fresh, precise and sappy, offering sweet red fruit compote flavors and showing very good energy. Finishes with excellent clarity and lingering spiciness. I like this wine’s vivacity. Range: 90-92” 92 Points International Wine Cellar.
Klinker Brick Farrah Syrah from California ($22.99) – Deep garnet in color, this wine exhibits aromas of dark fruits, tobacco, leather and pepper. On the palate, there are with layers of plum, chocolate, tobacco and exotic spices. This wine is mouth filling with bright fruit, velvety texture and exceptional balance.
Croze Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from California ($39.99) – Danial Benton was in the shop a few months ago tasting his great Croze Cabernet Sauvignon. Here is what he has to say about it. “CROZE Cabernet Sauvignon, Rutherford displays classic Rutherford notes with a dusty elegance and complexity. This wine is rich with a balance of red and dark fruit character along with all the earth aroma’s that make Rutherford such a special place for Cabernet. The aromas are reminiscent of an early morning stroll through a briary blackberry patch. On the finish there are spice notes of licorice and anise with a subtle cigar box charm. With firm but subtle tannins, this is approachable now, but will age gracefully for many years.” Daniel Benton, Assistant Winemaker & Sommelier
St. Wenceslaus Holiday Spiced Wine from Missouri ($9.99) – St. Wenceslaus is a festive Holiday tradition at Montelle. What a unique way to entertain guests at your holiday parties, as a gift for your favorite host or hostess, or just to curl up with by the fire on a cold winter night.
