New Wines and Morel & Leek!

New Wines and Morel & Leek!

What a great day!  I have been waiting for the Morel & Leek Jack Cheese for quite a while! Today in came in!  This is one of my most popular items so I am anticipating that it will go fast.

I was out with a distributor on Tuesday afternoon tasting some new wines.  Today, they came in!  The list includes the great 2007 Duckhorn Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (in full and half size bottles!), the smoky 2008 Migration Pinot Noir (more on that later), Decoy Cabernet Sauvignon, Decoy Zinfandel, The Pepper Pot from South Africa and more!

I bought all the 2007 Duckhorn Napa Cab they had left.  It was a great vintage.  Duckhorn did not release the 2008 vintage for distribution due to the limited quantity so the current release is the 2009.  It is still young and they have increased the price.  The 2007 is drinking great and will hold up for years in the cellar!

I also bought all of the 2008 Migration Pinot Noir they had left.  This was a very unique vintage.  There was a fire near the vineyard and the smoke gave the grapes a great smoky taste.  You will not be able to get this unique taste again!

As you can see, I’m excited about the new wines.  Stop in and we can talk more about each of them.

Just a couple of quick reminders.

Tonight we will be closing at 6:00 p.m. tonight for a private event.  Thank you for understanding.

Mark your calendars for Thursday, 12/22/11 – Jerry Green from Koerner Distributors will be in the shop from 6:00 until 8:00 for a free tasting of some of his wines.  Everyone is invited to stop in and taste some new wines just in time for Christmas!

Have a great day and I hope to see you this weekend!
