30 Nov Columbia Christmas Parade and Today’s Tasting!
Columbia’s annual Christmas Parade is this Saturday, December 3rd at 5 p.m. The parade will be on Main Street and pass right in front of Chateau La Vin! What better place to watch the parade than one of our six tables with a nice glass of wine! You will be able to see everything out our huge picture window. Want to brave the elements? There is plenty of room outside in front of the shop too. Get here early because space is limited. First come first serve on the tables. After the parade, stay for a special tasting and some Christmas spirit with you friends.
Today we will be tasting a couple of red wines. One sweet Moscato – Pinot Noir blend from Italy and a Spanish Tempranillo.
The Rosato Castello del Poggio ($14.99) is actually an Asti Rose from Italy. Fresh, delicately sweet and slightly sparkling. The Moscato and Pinot Noir blend very well together to give this wine nice balance and sweet taste.
Ebano ($23.99) is 100% Tempranillo from Spain. Dark cherry red color, clean and bright. Rich ripe blackberry and blueberry fruit dominate the nose, nicely combined with a touch of the oak’s elegant, toasty spice. Rich and fruity on the palate, tasty and hearty with a pleasantly fresh counterpoint that makes it well balanced.
I hope to see you today for the tasting and on Saturday for the Christmas Parade!
