La Cana Albarino from Spain 2012 – “Light, bright yellow. High-pitched aromas of lime zest, lemongrass and jasmine, with a chalky topnote. Dry and tightly wound, offering energetic citrus and orchard fruit flavors that expand and deepen with air. Shows excellent energy on the finish, leaving behind lime and pear skin notes. Very grown-up in style, with no excess fat; it’s an amazing value to boot.” 91 Points International Wine Cellar.
Borsao Garnacha from Spain 2013 – A delicious black cherry, crushed chalk and flower-scented nose jumps from the glass of this richly fruity, medium to full-bodied, supple, velvety-textured red. “This has been a big-time winner in just about every vintage it has been produced” 89Pts. – Robert Parker.
Borsao Tres Picos Old Vine Garnacha from Spain 2012 – “The terrific 2012 Tres Picos is one of the finest Grenache based wines made in the world? This full bodied beauty boasts a deep ruby color as well as loads of strawberry and black cherry fruit, savory mouthfeel!” 92Pts. Robert Parker.
Alto Moncayo Veration Garnacha – The 2010 Veraton is 100% old vine Grenache grown in vineyards planted between 1910 and 1967. Aged in a combination of French and American oak for 17 months prior to being bottled unfiltered, it is one of the world’s greatest Grenache values. Lots of crushed, chalky minerality intermixed with explosive notes of kirsch liqueur, lavender and spring flowers are found in this dense, full-bodied, pure red. Some background oak is noticeable, but the full-bodied, lavish concentration of fruit and glycerin are stunning and mouth-saturating. It should drink well for a decade. 500 cases produced. 93Pts. Robert Parker.
Urban UCO Malbec & Tempranillo from Argentina – “Deep purple in color, with an inviting bouquet of blackberry and blueberry on the palate. It is loaded with flavor, depth and length! Aged 3 months in oak barrels.” 91Pts. Robert Parker.
