It’s Friday and time to continue the celebration! Our special tasting continues with a great Cab plus we will taste one of the four 2005 Bordeaux’s that we got back in stock!
Special Anniversary Tasting!
Tonight (Friday) at 6:30 pm our special anniversary tasting continues! I’m moving up the start time to give all you cards fans a chance to stop in before the game! We will be tasting one of my favorite bottles in the shop! It is Markham Vineyard’s The Philanthropist 2007 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon! When the bottle is empty, the tasting will end.
Markham Vineyard’s The Philanthropist 2007 Napa Cabernet Sauvignon ($49.99) – Dark chocolate, coffee & cola aromas overlap black currant, accentuated with orange zest. Velvety black cherry & ripe plums provide a juicy entry that finishes chalky in its youth. Only 511 cases of this wine produced! This is a truly great Cabernet Sauvignon!

Chateau Jourdan 2005 Bordeaux Superieur from France ($24.99) – The 2005 Vintage was one of the best of all time for the Bordeaux region of France. Wine Spectator gave the vintage 99 Pts! I thought the 2005’s were gone, but my distributor was able to find some more. I have four different 2005 Bordeaux’s in stock. We will taste one of them today! Chateau Jourdan is 60% Cab Franc, 35% Merlot & 5% Cab–Nose Of Blackcurrant & Ripe Cherry–Smooth & Finely Structured Palate Of Ripe Black Fruit!
Saracco Moscato D’Asti from Italy ($19.99) – Moscato d’Asti is a unique wine where the beautiful aromas of the grapes are enhanced by a crisp, nice acidity, a light fizziness and the sweetness of the natural residual sugar. The low alcohol content makes it a very easy, pleasant wine perfect to finish a meal with dessert, or alone as a nice mid-day break!
Sunday Anniversary Celebration!
Sunday is our official one year anniversary! We are open from Noon until 5:00! We will have a special tasting and we are going to open the Double Magnum bottle of Peter Lehmann’s Layers Wine! In addition we will be tasting great wine and I’ll have some cheese crackers and Zettie’s Almond Butter Crunch Toffee out for samples! Stop in and enjoy the afternoon!
